OVERVIEW
A furniture retail company is looking for a creative Visual Merchandising Technician to increase sales, get buyer’s attention and to provide an excellent in-store experience. The goal is to use visual merchandising to convert window shoppers into prospects, drive branding and sales objectives and maximize profitability.

Founded in 1993, our client is a leader in the retail and supply of furniture in Africa. The company has a retail shop area of more than 50,000m2, 33 points of sale with more than 1,000 employees and 2 stores in sub-Saharan Africa. Ghana is the latest addition and Accra is the starting city.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Produce window displays, signs, interior displays, floor plans and special promotions displays
- Define, design and implement a creative visual merchandising strategy
- Create appealing and eye-catching visual displays that lead the customer through the entire store
- Oversee the production and brief staff on arranging displays
- Change displays to promote new product launches and reflect festive or seasonal themes
- Research lifestyle, demographics and design trends
- Installing and setting up window displays, walkways, counters, and in-store displays, or supervising contractors hired for this purpose.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
- A minimum of a Degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communications/Interior Design, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Visual Merchandiser/Visual Manager.
- Comprehensive portfolio of relevant visual design work.
- Experienced at using Adobe Creative Suite programs, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or other visual design tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Working knowledge of current visual merchandising trends and best practices.
- Ability to analyze sales merchandising reports and survey results.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
