Job Description
A reputable heavy equipment company is seeking an experienced Rigger to support crane and lifting operations at mining and project sites in Ghana.
The successful candidate will assist crane operators in the safe lifting, movement and positioning of heavy equipment and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and prepare lifting gear, slings, shackles and related equipment.
- Safely attach and secure loads before lifting.
- Guide crane operators using approved hand signals and communication methods.
- Ensure loads are properly balanced and within safe lifting limits.
- Follow all site HSE and lifting procedures.
- Report defective lifting equipment or unsafe conditions immediately.
Requirements
- Valid Minerals Commission (MINCOM) Certificate/Licence of Competency is required.
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant rigging experience.
- Previous mining, construction or heavy-equipment experience strongly preferred.
- Good knowledge of lifting equipment, load handling and crane signalling.
- Physically fit and safety-conscious.
- Must be available for deployment by the end of October 2026.
- Willingness to work at project locations including Tarkwa, New Abirem and Akyem.
