Job Overview
We are seeking a proficient Portuguese–English Translator / Interpreter to provide language support for Portuguese-speaking clients in Ghana.
The successful candidate will provide in-person support during meetings and appointments, delivering accurate interpretation and written translation between Portuguese and English in both directions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide real-time interpretation during business meetings, discussions and appointments.
- Translate documents, correspondence and messages from Portuguese into English and vice versa.
- Provide language support at various locations and facilitate communication with local contacts.
- Ensure all translations accurately convey the intended meaning, tone and context.
- Handle business information and documents with professionalism and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Excellent spoken and written proficiency in both Portuguese and English is mandatory.
- Ability to interpret conversations confidently and translate written materials accurately in both directions.
- Strong listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to work in person at different locations as required throughout the assignment.
- Professional conduct, reliability and attention to detail.
- Previous translation or interpretation experience, particularly in a business setting, is an advantage.
- Availability for a short-term contract; immediate availability is preferred.
