About the Role
A leading industrial processing company is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to support raw material handling and yard operations at a modern industrial facility in Drobonso.
The successful candidates will operate wheel loaders (payloaders/front-end loaders) and telehandlers to move, load, stack, and feed biomass and other materials safely and efficiently within the production environment.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in quarry, mining, timber, construction, agro-processing, factory, or heavy industrial operations.
Location: Drobonso, Ashanti Region (Free Accommodation Available)
Shift Structure: Rotating Day & Night Shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Operate wheel loaders/front-end loaders (payloaders) safely and efficiently
- Operate telehandlers/teleloaders for material movement and lifting operations
- Load and transport biomass, wood chips, raw materials, and finished products within the plant
- Feed raw materials into processing systems and hoppers as directed
- Load and offload trucks and support yard logistics operations
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventive checks
- Report mechanical faults and safety concerns promptly
- Maintain safe operating practices at all times
- Support general production and yard operations when required
- Comply with all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial environment
- Proven experience operating:
- Wheel Loaders / Payloaders / Front-End Loaders
- Telehandlers / Teleloaders
- Forklifts (advantageous)
- Experience in quarry, mining, timber, construction, factory, or agro-processing operations preferred
- Valid Ghana driver’s licence (appropriate class required)
- Strong understanding of heavy equipment safety procedures
- Ability to work outdoors in dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environments
- Basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage
- Ability to work shifts, including night shifts
- Reliable, disciplined, and safety-conscious
Preferred Skills
Candidates with experience operating brands such as:
- CAT
- Komatsu
- JCB
- Hyundai
- CASE
- Bobcat
will have an added advantage.
