Job Summary
A restaurant in Osu is seeking a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation and maintain a clean, organised kitchen. The successful candidate will assist the kitchen team in delivering meals that meet the restaurant’s quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, peel, chop and prepare ingredients under the cook’s direction.
- Assist with basic food preparation and portioning as instructed.
- Wash dishes, utensils and cooking equipment.
- Keep kitchen surfaces, workstations and floors clean.
- Help organise ingredients and store food items correctly.
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain tidy kitchen areas.
- Follow instructions on food handling, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Candidates with basic knowledge and understanding of kitchen duties will also be considered.
- Awareness of cleanliness and safe food handling practices.
- Hardworking, dependable and attentive to instructions.
- Ability to cooperate with the kitchen team and complete tasks efficiently.
- Good personal hygiene and an organised approach to work.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the restaurant’s food preparation methods and quality standards.
