looking for an experienced <strong>Compliance Manager &amp; Anti-Money Laundering Reporting Officer (AMLRO)<\/strong> to lead the company&#8217;s regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering function.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company operates in accordance with applicable Bank of Ghana requirements, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing requirements, relevant Ghanaian laws and regulations, and the company&#8217;s internal policies.<\/p>\n<p>The role will oversee the company&#8217;s compliance framework, AML\/CFT controls, merchant KYC and due diligence processes, regulatory reporting and ongoing monitoring of compliance risks.<\/p>\n<p>The Compliance Manager &amp; AMLRO will also serve as a key point of contact on compliance and AML matters and provide management and employees with guidance on regulatory requirements affecting the business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Regulatory Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop, implement and maintain the company&#8217;s regulatory compliance framework, policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable Bank of Ghana requirements and other relevant laws and regulatory directives.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor regulatory developments affecting the company&#8217;s operations and advise management on their implications.<\/li>\n<li>Review existing procedures, controls and reports periodically to identify regulatory risks, weaknesses or non-compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Assess the effectiveness of internal compliance controls and recommend improvements where necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Review proposed products, services, partnerships and business initiatives to identify compliance and regulatory risks before implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and coordinate compliance reports and regulatory submissions as required.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the Bank of Ghana and other relevant regulatory authorities on compliance matters as required.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain appropriate compliance records and documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Work with management, legal advisers, HR and other departments to ensure appropriate implementation and enforcement of regulatory and internal requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nAnti-Money Laundering \/ AMLRO Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as the company&#8217;s <strong>Anti-Money Laundering Reporting Officer (AMLRO)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Develop, implement and periodically review the company&#8217;s AML\/CFT policies, procedures and internal controls.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure appropriate implementation of customer and merchant identification, Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and, where required, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee AML risk assessments for customers, merchants, products, services and other relevant business relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the effectiveness of systems and controls designed to identify potentially suspicious transactions or activities.<\/li>\n<li>Receive and assess internal reports of suspicious transactions or activities and determine the appropriate action in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the filing and maintenance of required AML\/CFT reports and records.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure appropriate screening and monitoring processes are maintained in relation to sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEPs) and other higher-risk relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Keep abreast of developments in money laundering, terrorist financing, proliferation financing and financial crime risks relevant to the company&#8217;s operations.<\/li>\n<li>Provide AML\/CFT guidance to management and employees.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate periodic AML\/CFT awareness and training programmes for relevant employees.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain appropriate confidentiality in relation to suspicious transaction reporting, investigations and other sensitive AML matters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nMerchant Onboarding &amp; Monitoring<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review KYC and due diligence documentation and approve merchant onboarding from a compliance perspective.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure merchants satisfy applicable onboarding and verification requirements before approval.<\/li>\n<li>Identify higher-risk merchants and ensure appropriate enhanced due diligence and approval procedures are followed.<\/li>\n<li>Support ongoing monitoring and periodic review of existing merchants based on their risk classification.<\/li>\n<li>Escalate material compliance, AML or financial crime concerns relating to merchants to senior management where appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nCompliance Monitoring &amp; Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and maintain an appropriate compliance monitoring programme.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct periodic compliance reviews and identify weaknesses, breaches or emerging regulatory risks.<\/li>\n<li>Investigate or coordinate investigations into potential compliance breaches.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend corrective actions and monitor their implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare periodic compliance and AML reports for senior management and, where applicable, the Board.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain records of compliance incidents, regulatory issues and remedial actions.<\/li>\n<li>Support regulatory examinations, audits and information requests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nRequirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or another relevant discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum <strong>4 years of relevant compliance, AML, risk or regulatory experience<\/strong>, preferably within fintech, banking, payments or another regulated financial-services environment.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of Ghana&#8217;s financial-services regulatory environment and Bank of Ghana requirements applicable to payment service providers.<\/li>\n<li>Practical knowledge of AML\/CFT requirements, KYC, customer due diligence, transaction monitoring and financial crime risk management.<\/li>\n<li>Experience dealing with regulatory reporting, compliance monitoring and internal control frameworks.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of merchant onboarding and compliance risk assessment.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical and investigative abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Strong report-writing, documentation and record-keeping skills.<\/li>\n<li>High level of integrity, independence and professional judgement.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to
