About the Role
A leading industrial processing company is seeking a highly organised and proactive Regulatory & Administration Officer to support statutory compliance, government relations, office administration, and operational coordination at its facility in Drobonso.
The successful candidate will serve as the company’s primary liaison with regulatory authorities and public institutions while also overseeing day-to day administrative activities to ensure smooth business operations.
This role is ideal for an experienced professional who understands how Ghanaian regulatory systems operate and can effectively engage with government agencies, statutory bodies, and local authorities.
Reports To: Plant Manager
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Government Liaison
- Serve as the primary point of contact with relevant regulatory and government agencies.
- Coordinate permits, licences, registrations, and renewals required for company operations.
- Liaise with:
- Ghana Free Zones Authority
- Environmental Protection Authority (EPA)
- Labour Department
- SSNIT (organize registration for employees without SSNIT)
- Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA)
- Ghana National Fire Service
- Customs Division of GRA
- District Assembly
- Department of Factories Inspectorate
- Insurance providers and related stakeholders
- Monitor compliance deadlines and ensure timely submissions and renewals.
- Track changes in regulatory requirements and advise management accordingly.
- Maintain compliance records and support inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews.
Labour, Payroll & Statutory Administration
- Ensure all staff are registered with SSNIT and tier 2 trustees
- Assist in maintaining employment records and labour law compliance.
- Coordinate with HR and finance personnel on statutory filings and documentation.
Insurance & Asset Administration
- Coordinate vehicle insurance renewals and claims processes.
- Maintain records for company vehicles, permits, and registrations.
- Support administration of company insurance policies and renewals.
Office Administration
- Manage office documentation, filing systems, and correspondence.
- Coordinate travel, accommodation, and logistics arrangements when required.
- Support procurement and vendor administration activities.
- Maintain administrative records and company documentation.
- Assist management with reporting, scheduling, and operational coordination.
Stakeholder & Community Relations
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with the local community stakeholder, government officials, regulators etc.
- Represent the company professionally during meetings and engagements with external parties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Law, Political Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, administration, HR, corporate affairs, government relations, or a similar role.
- Practical experience dealing with government agencies such as GRA, SSNIT, Labour Department, EPA, District Assemblies, or regulatory authorities.
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance requirements in Ghana.
- Experience within manufacturing, mining, construction, agribusiness, energy, or industrial sectors is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Twi is highly desirable.

Important Notice
