Project Coordinator – Furniture Company

Salary: GHC 3,500 per month

Our client is a well-established designer and manufacturer of furniture and joinery solutions, serving residential, corporate, hospitality and institutional clients across West Africa. The company delivers customised furniture, interior fit-out and related project solutions for homes, offices, apartments, hotels and other facilities.

Role Overview

The Project Coordinator will support the planning and execution of furniture, joinery and interior installation projects from commencement to handover. The successful candidate will keep schedules, stakeholders, documentation, materials, production and site activities aligned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate assigned projects from initiation through production, delivery, installation and handover.
  • Develop, update and monitor project schedules, milestones and action trackers.
  • Coordinate communication among clients, designers, suppliers, contractors and internal teams.
  • Follow up on drawings, approvals, measurements, materials, production, deliveries and installations.
  • Track project progress and escalate risks, delays and unresolved issues promptly.
  • Organise project meetings and maintain accurate minutes, decisions and action points.
  • Prepare status reports, correspondence and other project documentation.
  • Support site coordination and verify that project requirements and quality expectations are met.
  • Maintain orderly electronic and physical project records.
  • Support the Project Manager and departmental leads with day-to-day coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in project coordination or a similar role.
  • Experience in furniture, joinery, construction, interior design or fit-out projects is an advantage.
  • Strong planning, organisation, follow-up and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project-management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadline pressure.
