Our client is a well-established designer and manufacturer of furniture and joinery solutions, serving residential, corporate, hospitality and institutional clients across West Africa. The company delivers customised furniture, interior fit-out and related project solutions for homes, offices, apartments, hotels and other facilities.
Role Overview
The Operations Driver will provide safe and dependable transport support for the company’s daily activities, including the movement of staff, documents, materials, tools and finished products. The role requires careful driving, good route knowledge and responsible vehicle care.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport staff, documents, materials, tools and other company items as assigned.
- Deliver and collect furniture, raw materials, equipment and supplies safely and on time.
- Support the transport and logistics needs of production, projects, installation and other departments.
- Plan efficient routes and communicate promptly about delays or delivery issues.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and arrange routine servicing and maintenance as authorised.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean, secure and in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate trip, fuel, mileage, delivery and maintenance records.
- Ensure transported items are loaded, secured and handled appropriately to prevent damage.
- Comply with road traffic regulations and all company driving and safety procedures.
- Report faults, incidents, accidents and maintenance needs immediately.
- Provide reasonable operational assistance when not driving, as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Valid Ghanaian Class C driver’s licence.
- At least 3 years of experience as a professional driver.
- Experience supporting logistics, operations, furniture delivery or construction activities is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Accra, Tema and surrounding areas.
- Clean driving record and a strong commitment to road safety.
- Able to handle delivery documentation and maintain accurate vehicle records.
- Reliable, punctual, trustworthy and physically able to support safe loading and delivery activities when required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when operationally required.
