Marketing/Sales Manager (Lithium Battery)

Our client is a global leader in lithium battery Energy Storage Systems (ESS), providing innovative and sustainable energy solutions for renewable energy, telecom, commercial, and industrial sectors. As part of its expansion into Ghana and the West African sub-region, it is establishing a Ghana office to drive market penetration, partnerships, and customer support.

Main products: household energy storage batteries, household energy storage all-in-one machines, household movable energy storage systems, small commercial energy storage systems.

Role Summary: The Client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Marketing/Sales Manager to lead its market expansion efforts in Ghana and the West African sub-region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives to drive business growth, secure key partnerships, and enhance brand visibility.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive the adoption of the company’s Energy Storage Solutions (ESS) in Ghana.
  • Identify and engage potential distributors, resellers, and key clients in the energy, telecom, commercial, and industrial sectors.
  • Drive B2B sales by targeting solar energy companies, telecom operators, and industrial clients needing power backup solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts, partnership agreements, and pricing models to maximise revenue and market penetration.

Marketing & Brand Positioning

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to create brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Organize product demonstrations, webinars, and workshops to showcase the benefits of the company’s ESS.
  • Manage digital marketing efforts, including social media, website content, and online advertisements.

Client Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, renewable energy firms, and telecom companies.
  • Provide after-sales support and ensure high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Gather customer feedback to enhance product offerings and improve service delivery.

Technical & Training Support

  • Collaborate with the technical team to offer training programs for distributors, engineers, and local technicians.
  • Ensure that sales and marketing teams have up-to-date knowledge of the company’s ESS products.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing, preferably in the energy, telecom, or renewable energy sectors.
  • Strong network within Ghana’s energy, telecom, and industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of energy storage solutions, lithium battery technology, and solar power systems is an advantage.
