Job Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions to ensure the effective management and development of the company’s workforce. This role leads recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compensation, and compliance with labour regulations. The HR Manager works closely with senior management to align HR strategies with the company’s operational goals, promote a positive workplace culture, and support organisational growth. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and the ability to implement HR best practices that enhance employee engagement and company performance.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1. Recruitment & Staffing
- Identify staffing needs in collaboration with department heads
- Prepare job descriptions and coordinate job postings
- Screen and interview candidates
- Manage the onboarding, induction, and orientation processes
2. Employee Relations & Welfare
- Serve as the key contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution
- Maintain healthy communication between management and staff
- Implement staff engagement and welfare initiatives
- Support disciplinary procedures in line with company policy
3. Training & Development
- Assess training needs and prepare annual training plans
- Organise training sessions to support staff development
- Support career development and succession planning
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
4. Performance Management
- Lead the performance appraisal process
- Guide managers on setting KPIs and development goals
- Use performance data to support promotions, rewards, and improvement plans
5. Payroll Support
- Coordinate with Finance on payroll inputs and staff changes
- Administer incentives, allowances, and leave management
6. HR Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations
- Ensure statutory compliance with necessary governmental agencies/authorities
- Update and enforce HR policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Support workplace safety and ethical compliance initiatives
7. Strategic HR Planning
- Advise management on workforce planning and HR trends
- Support organisational restructuring when necessary
- Contribute to building a strong, positive company culture
Additional Responsibilities:
Additional duties, other roles and responsibilities will be assigned by management as need arises.
Qualification & Experience
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field
- Professional HR Certification is an advantage
- 10 – 15 years of experience in HR Roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial position
