Our client is a well-established designer and manufacturer of furniture and joinery solutions, serving residential, corporate, hospitality and institutional clients across West Africa. The company delivers customised furniture, interior fit-out and related project solutions for homes, offices, apartments, hotels and other facilities.
Role Overview
The HR Manager will lead the day-to-day human resource function and support management in building a disciplined, productive and engaged workforce. The successful candidate will manage recruitment, employee relations, performance, compliance and HR administration across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review and implement HR policies, procedures and workplace guidelines.
- Manage recruitment, selection, onboarding, confirmation and employee exit processes.
- Maintain accurate personnel records, contracts, leave records and other HR documentation.
- Coordinate performance planning, appraisals and improvement processes across departments.
- Handle employee relations, grievances and disciplinary matters fairly and consistently.
- Ensure compliance with Ghanaian labour laws, statutory obligations and company policies.
- Identify training needs and coordinate practical staff learning and development programmes.
- Support workforce planning, job design, succession planning and employee retention initiatives.
- Prepare periodic HR reports and advise management on staffing and workplace matters.
- Promote a professional, safe and performance-focused workplace culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant HR experience, including experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Sound knowledge of Ghanaian labour law and practical HR administration.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations and performance management.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and conflict-management skills.
- Excellent organisation, record-keeping and report-writing abilities.
- High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience using an HR information system is an advantage.
