Overview
A reputable MEP engineering solutions provider in Accra is seeking a Ghana-based Electrical Engineer with strong experience in transformer and medium-voltage (MV) systems to support power infrastructure and substation-related projects. The role involves ensuring reliable system performance, supporting installation and maintenance activities, and contributing to safe and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of MV/LV electrical systems
- Installation, testing, and commissioning of transformers and switchgear
- Electrical configuration, diagnostics, and routine maintenance
- Cable sizing, load assessments, and protection coordination
- Interpretation of SLDs, schematics, and protection diagrams
- Supervision of substation and transformer-related installations
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ experience in the industry
- Proven experience in transformers, substations, or MV systems
- Strong understanding of protection systems and switchgear
- Proficiency with test instruments and diagnostic tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Remuneration: Starting basic salary of GHC 5000 – 7000
