Overview
A reputable company is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Account assistant/bookkeeper to join their small but dynamic team located in Adansi. The Accounts Assistant will be a part of a remote location field team and report to the company’s Finance Manager in Accra.
Location: Adansi Asokwa District
Role Summary: The successful candidate will have the ability to be flexible and cover various capacities when required; this will involve covering ad hoc duties within the Finance function.
Accommodation and feeding will be provided by the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase ledger Issuing and processing purchase invoices/ Credit notes and reconciling the ledger.
- Sales Ledger ensure all approved sales invoices are raised and processed in SAGE Pastel accurately and in timely manner.
- Daily reconciliation of bank and Petty cash account(s), including posting to Sage
- Daily/weekly payment collections and processing
- Process sales and intercompany invoices.
- Supporting the team with reconciliations and ad hoc tasks that will assist with the preparation of management accounts
- Preparation and input of journals
- Liaising with the operations department on any queries that may arise
- Periodic reporting to head office in Accra
- Provide reports to assist with the audit of data held
Ideal Experience
- Previous accounting/bookkeeping experience at least 2 years
- At least intermediate level of excel
- Experience with SAGE Pastel software is an advantage
- Ideally AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians qualified), Degree in Accounting degree or equivalent
