REPORTS TO: Head-Credits Unit (SME)

KEY RESULT AREAS

• Credit analysis and processing
• Credit Monitoring and Recovery
• Credit Risk analysis and management
• Relationship management

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. Marketing of Q Capital’s loan products and winning new loan businesses.
2. Evaluate clients business information to ensure accuracy and maintain updated records of loan applications.
3. Interviewing, assessing and appraising of requests for loan facilities.
4. Conduct background investigations into the character and credit worthiness of credit applicants and identify the presence of any risks.
5. Assess credit applications and process them for consideration by the Credit Committee.
6. Ensure that all conditions for loan approvals are adhered to before disbursement.
7. Ensure that all loan facilities are within approved Credit Policy guidelines and comply with Bank of Ghana requirements.
8. Monitor progress of existing loans and follow up with clients about loan renewals
9. Monitoring of loan clients to ensure prompt repayments in accordance with terms of facilities and alerting credit officers of any dangers in portfolios.
10. Recovery / Collection of daily or weekly repayments from clients
11. Provide adequate support by advising clients on business strategies to help grow and expand their businesses
12. Preparation of regular reports
13. Perform any duties assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

• First Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or any related field with two years (2) post qualification relevant working experience. OR
• WASSCE with concentration in Business Studies, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or any related field with three (3) years post qualification relevant experience.
• Proven work experience as a Credit / Loan Officer or similar role
• Hands-on experience with lending procedures and products
• Good Marketing and Sales promotions skills
• Strong analytical skills and judgement
• Good numeracy/ accuracy skills
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Excellent Customer service skills
