Site Supervisor needed urgently for a construction project in Northern Ghana.

ROLE SUMMARY

Work closely with the sub-contractor to monitor the progress of the construction work.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. Ensure that company health and safety policies and procedures are strictly adhered while ensuring visitors visit to site are aware of the company’s health and safety policy and ensure that they do not go on the site without supervision.
2. Identify potential hazards and manage them accordingly
3. Ensure all personnel comply with health and safety practices by wearing the appropriate protective equipment
4. Ensure all environmental and waste management policies are adhered to
5. Ensure that all staff, sub-contractors and visitors to the site are properly inducted
6. Fully co-operate with the company’s customer policies and ensure all directly employed personnel work within the required specification and adhere to general company policies.
7. Assist supervisors with planning work activities
8. Complete site and other reports

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

• Minimum of HND
• Minimum of 5 years working in the construction industry
• Must have working knowledge about construction site, methodologies and technologies
• Must have knowledge in working in hazardous areas
• Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency
• Must present a fit to work certification, guarantors declaration, criminal background check record
• Must be fluent in English, French will be an added advantage
• Must possess these corporative competencies: problem-solving, self-confidence, teamwork, orientation to internal-external clients, flexibility and ability to interpret building plans and blueprints.

ROLE SUMMARY

Direct and coordinate the installation process of the assigned activities (Hesco), in accordance with production planning, the design and specifications of the facilities, in order to ensure compliance with commitments to stakeholders, ensuring quality, safety and cost efficiency of the assigned tasks of the project

WHAT YOU WILL DO

REQUIREMENTS

• More than 7 years of experience in the military and/or Construction Industry More than 3 years of experience as a Site Supervisor
• Desirable previous experience in government related projects
• Preferable Diploma of Building and Construction Fit to Work Certification
• Proven ability in problem-solving and budget management Ability to deliver projects on time
• High level of English and French
