Job Brief
A new and growing biochar factory is seeking an experienced and dependable Company Driver to support staff transportation, errands and logistics between its Drobonso facility, Kumasi and other locations.
The successful candidate must be highly competent in driving a manual transmission 4×4 pickup, including on rough and unpaved roads.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport staff, management, visitors, tools, spare parts and other materials.
- Make official trips between Drobonso, Kumasi and other locations as required.
- Deliver and collect laboratory samples, documents and supplies.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean and in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate vehicle, mileage and fuel records.
- Ensure vehicle insurance, roadworthy and other documentation remain current.
- Report faults promptly and coordinate scheduled servicing when required.
- Observe all road safety regulations and company driving policies.
Requirements
- Valid Ghanaian driver’s licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle, held for at least 5 years.
- Minimum 3 years’ professional driving experience preferred.
- Must be highly competent driving manual transmission vehicles.
- Experience driving 4×4 vehicles on rough, rural and unpaved roads.
- Good knowledge of roads within the Ashanti Region, particularly routes to Kumasi.
- Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Ability to maintain accurate vehicle logs.
- Honest, punctual, professional and discreet.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, late hours and occasional weekends when required.
