Job Brief
A new and growing biochar factory is seeking careful and dependable Biochar Unloaders / Bagging Operators to handle finished biochar at its production facility in Drobonso.
The successful candidates will fill, weigh, label, seal and move finished biochar bagswhile maintaining accurate production and batch records.
Key Responsibilities
- Fill finished biochar into industrial big bags at the bagging station.
- Weigh, label, close and seal bags accurately.
- Record weight, date, time and batch information for every bag produced.
- Move finished bags to designated storage areas using a forklift or pallet truck where trained.
- Inspect bags for damage and ensure finished products are stored correctly.
- Take and label product samples when required.
- Monitor for hot materials, smoke or other safety concerns and report them immediately.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping around the bagging and silo areas.
- Follow all dust, fire, gas and confined-space safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate shift and production records.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, packing, bagging or production environment.
- Experience with cement, fertiliser, cocoa, grain or similar industrial bagging operations is an advantage.
- Ability to read weighing displays and accurately record numbers.
- Basic English reading and writing skills.
- Forklift or pallet truck experience is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to work for a full shift.
- High level of honesty and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
Safety: This role involves working around fine biochar dust and industrial equipment.
Strict use of PPE and compliance with plant safety procedures is mandatory.
