Job Brief
A new and growing biochar factory is seeking experienced Loader Operators to support continuous production at its facility in Drobonso.
The successful candidates will operate front-end loaders or Bobcats to continuously supply wood materials to the chipper and production feed hopper.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate front-end loaders/Bobcats to feed wood materials into the chipper and production hopper.
- Maintain the required hopper level to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Monitor hopper indicators and respond promptly to operational alarms.
- Check incoming materials for foreign objects, oversized wood and other abnormalities.
- Clear material spillages and maintain a safe working area.
- Conduct and record daily equipment checks.
- Report faults, blockages and unusual equipment behaviour immediately.
- Follow machine guarding and lockout/tagout safety procedures.
- Complete shift records and properly hand over to the incoming operator.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a front-end loader, wheel loader/payloader, Bobcat or similar equipment.
- Valid Ghanaian driver’s licence and relevant operator certification.
- Good spatial awareness and ability to operate equipment safely around fixed plant and structures.
- Ability to remain attentive during repetitive equipment operations.
- Basic ability to read, write and maintain simple shift records.
- Strong safety awareness.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
