Job Summary
A growing manufacturing company operating in the recycling and sustainable materials sector is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to oversee quality assurance, quality control, compliance, and certification activities within its production operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining quality standards, monitoring production processes, ensuring product compliance with customer requirements, supporting international certification programs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Process Control
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality control systems and procedures.
- Establish and monitor quality standards for incoming raw materials and finished products.
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
- Monitor contamination levels and ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Perform routine testing and quality assessments, including:
- Moisture analysis
- Contamination inspections
- Product sampling
- Particle size verification
- Density and quality checks
- Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects and improving process efficiency.
Compliance & Certification
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of quality and environmental management systems.
- Coordinate activities related to internationally recognized certification standards and industry compliance requirements.
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits.
- Maintain certification records, audit reports, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure operations comply with applicable customer, regulatory, and export-market requirements.
Documentation & Traceability
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality manuals, and work instructions.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports, corrective action records, supplier quality documentation, and customer quality records.
- Ensure full product traceability throughout the production and supply chain process.
- Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and other customer-required quality documentation.
Customer Quality Support
- Respond to customer quality inquiries and technical requests.
- Support customer audits and site visits.
- Investigate customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure timely resolution of quality-related concerns.
Training & Awareness
- Train production teams on quality standards, inspection procedures, contamination prevention, GMP principles, and quality best practices.
- Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Requirements
Education
- Degree in:
- Chemical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Quality Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Polymer Engineering
- Materials Science
- Or a related technical discipline
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in quality assurance, quality control, compliance, or manufacturing quality management.
- Experience within one or more of the following industries is highly desirable:
- Plastics manufacturing
- Recycling
- Packaging
- Food processing
- Beverage manufacturing
- Industrial production environments
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and auditing principles.
- Experience implementing or maintaining ISO-based management systems is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong report writing and documentation abilities.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality reporting tools.
