Sales and Marketing Officer

Overview

Our client, an FMCG company in Tema, is looking to hire a Sales and Marketing Officer urgently.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

1. Marketing Experience in FMCG / Food Industry
   • Experience in food, frozen food, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
   • Experience with product promotions in retail markets, supermarkets, and local marketplaces.
2. Knowledge of the Ghanaian Market
   • Understanding of local consumer habits for chicken, beef, and fish.
   • Experience working with Ghanaian food vendors, wholesalers, retailers, and consumers.
3. Gender Preference
   • Female candidates (since you specified this).
4. Digital Marketing Skills (Optional but powerful)
   • Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp marketing).
   • Ability to run simple campaigns (local promotions, offers, etc.).
   • Content creation for food marketing (photos, videos).
5. Sales Support Skills
   • Ability to support sales teams with materials and market research.
   • Customer engagement: Can confidently talk to customers, vendors, or distributors.
6. Communication Skills
   • Strong verbal and written communication.
   • English fluency and local language skills (Twi, Ga, Ewe) are a bonus.
7. Creativity and Initiative
   • Can suggest new ideas for promoting frozen products in Ghanaian markets.
   • Ability to organize and attend marketing events, food fairs, or sampling sessions.
8. Team Player
   • Can work closely with your sales and distribution teams.
   • Willing to learn about your products deeply (chicken cuts, beef quality, fish handling).
9.  Professional Presentation
   • Ability to represent your company well in public and at customer sites.
10. Basic Analytics Skills (Optional but useful)
    • Can collect and report data from the market.
    • Basic Excel or report writing skills.
