Overview
HSEQ Engineer needed in Togo for a construction project.
Role Summary: Ensuring compliance with regulations, implementing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, investigating incidents, managing environmental initiatives, and maintaining quality standards within the organisation.
What You Will Do:
- Ensure the company complies with regulatory compliance, local, national and international standards.
- Develop, implement and review safety protocols and procedures.
- Conducts safety inspections, audits and identify hazards and risks
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards and asses their impact
- Develop strategies to mitigate risks and immprove overall safety within the company
- Investigate accidents and incidents to assess root causes. Recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve safety.
- Implement necessary systems to ensure compliance.
- Monitor and report on all metrics.
- Conduct quality and safety audits and inspections.
- Provide training to employees on safety procedures, environmental practices and quality standards.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in processes and systems.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and external partners as needed.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Coordinate emergency drills and training exercises.
- Maintain accurate records of HSEQ activities, incidents, inspections, audits, and training
- Design and implement HSEQ Policies, procedures, and initiatives
- Site visits will be required on on-going basis

- In-depth knowledge of HSEQ standards

Requirements
- Should be fluent in French
- Should be able to communicate in English.
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or a related field
- Diploma or Degree in Construction Safety
- Registration with Professional Board
- 5 – 10 years experience in HSEQ role
- More than 3 years in the Construction Industry
- Desirable previous experience on Government reletad projects

Gross Salary: CFA 1,478,846 – CFA 2,772,985 per month
